Banurdih Matara Sangha is a grassroots non-governmental organisation based in Purulia, West Bengal, built on the belief that every human being deserves dignity, opportunity, and care. Founded with deep community roots, we work tirelessly across three pillars — education, health, and environment. From running our own school and providing free educational support, to assisting marginalised families with healthcare and leading environmental drives, every initiative we undertake is driven by compassion and purpose.

The 15th of August fills our campus with an energy that is truly special. Every year, we celebrate Independence Day with flag hoisting, cultural programmes, and a deep sense of national pride.

President’s Message
The person behind BMS
When we started this journey, we had very little — but we had heart, and we had each other. Banurdih Matara Sangha was born out of a simple belief that change begins at home, in our own villages, with our own hands. Every child we educate, every family we support, every tree we plant — each one fills us with renewed purpose. We are grateful to every volunteer, donor, and well-wisher who walks this path with us. Together, we are building something that will outlast all of us.
